If the siren is not yet fixed to the wall, the device will show a tamper error in WMI. This is the expected behaviour as the tamper button at the back of the device is not depressed. Properly fixing the siren to the wall will depress the tamper button.
If the external siren shows No Signal, please check the DIP 7 Switch is in the ON position. This will enable the supervision function.
There are several things you should try if you are having trouble pairing Bosch sensors:
Pair Bosch sensors using a low zigbee channel: The Hub-1 and Hub LTE-1 controls panels can pair zigbee devices on one of four zigbee channels: 11, 15, 20, 25. For best results pairing Bosch zigbee devices we recommend using Channel 11 where possible. If your Control Panel is using firmware v0.0.2.27B or higher, the zigbee channel will be pre-configured to Channel 11 during provisioning. You can check which zigbee channel your panel is using in the System Settings section.
Has the device been paired before? If you have two hubs and the PIR had previously been paired with either hub, you may experience difficulties pairing to the other/new hub. You just DELETE the PIR from the first hub BEFORE you can pair it with another hub. Otherwise, when you reset the device and power it on, it will re-associate with the original hub it was previously enrolled on if it hears from that hub (regardless of whether that hub is in pairing mode because that hub thinks that the PIR belongs to it and will repair it), and thus will not pair with the new hub that you are trying to pair it with.
Pair one control panel at a time: If you are installing multiple control panels, ensure you only have one panel in learning mode at any one time. Having multiple control panels in learning mode may conflict and devices may pair to the wrong panel making it appear they are not pairing
Factory reset devices:
To factory reset the RFPR-ZB and RFDL-ZB sensors follow these steps:
Hub-1 LTE: The Hub LTE-1 control panel can connect to the internet either by ethernet or GSM. Before attempting to factory reset the Hub LTE-1, please connect the control panel to ethernet.
At this point the following will happen:
Hub LTE-1: The APN setting of GSM on Hub LTE-1 is also reset. The correct APN value will automatically be reset when the hub comes back online. From this point, GSM connectivity will be re-established.
When the panel detects faulty events, the panel will log the event and make reports. When fault events exist in the system, the panel Fault LED will light up and the panel will emit a beep every 30 seconds.
Fault Event | Description |
---|---|
Panel AC Failure |
The Control Panel's AC power is disconnected When AC failure is detected, the panel will turn off both Ethernet and mobile network functions when idle to conserve power. Ethernet and mobile network will be activated temporarily when an event is detected by the panel (i.e. alarm trigger) to send report, and will turn off again after finishing report. Accessing the panel via remote server XMPP connection is disabled during AC failure. |
Panel Low Battery | The panel's backup battery is only used when AC failure is detected. When the backup battery voltage is low, the panel low battery event is generated. |
Panel Tamper | The tamper switch on back of the panel is not compressed against the back cover. This means the panel s cover is opened and not properly sealed. |
Battery Dead/Missing | The panel cannot detect backup battery, this means the battery is either dysfunctional, or the battery switch is not slid to ON position. |
Interference/Jamming | The panel detects radio frequency jamming, which will affect its ability to receive signal from RF devices (Does not include ZigBee/ Z Wave/Wifi signal). |
Device Low Battery | The accessory device at indicated zone number is low on battery. |
Device AC Failure | The accessory device at indicated zone number does not have AC power connection. |
Device Tamper | The tamper switch of the device at indicated zone number is open. |
Device Supervision Failure | The panel was unable to receive supervision signal sent from accessory device at indicated zone number for the duration of Supervision Timer programmed. (i.e. If Supervision Timer is set to 12 hours, the panel will generate supervision failure event after failing to receive supervision signal for 12 hours) |
